365彩票网Certified Nursing Assistant. Six to twelve weeks to complete, written and clinical skills test.

A certificate or diploma is awarded to students after the completion of this non-degree nursing program. Certified Nursing Assistant programs were traditionally offered at hospitals and large health care centers. Today, however, many community colleges and vocational schools offer similar programs. Students graduating from a CNA nursing program will enter the workforce as a Nursing Assistant.

In our list of nursing schools we identify Certified Nursing Assistant programs by the acronym CNA. Other common names used by schools include but are not limited to: Certified Nursing Aide, Certified Nurse Aide, Nursing Assistant Training, Nursing Assistant Certificate, Nursing Assistant Diploma, Nurse Assistant Training, and Nurse Aide Training.

Nursing schools might drop the first letter in CNA preferring instead to use the initials NA. They may also change the first letter as in Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA), Licensed Nurse Assistant (LNA), as examples. The common goal between all these programs is to prepare students to become a Nursing Assistant and to pass the required state licensing exam.
